From the School Board
Term 1 is coming to an end and it is timely to highlight what has been happening to date at our kura.
The Strategic Plan for Rangiora High School was submitted to the Ministry of Education in 2024. This was reviewed at the end of 2024 and some minor changes were made.
To recap, the four main priorities areas of the Strategic Plan are Culture, Wellbeing, Learning and Curriculum. These align with the 2025 school mantra of “Know Me, Guide Me”
Specifically, “Know Me” incorporates the priority areas of Culture & Wellbeing; and “Guide Me” encompasses Learning and Curriculum.
Further, the two keys areas of strategic focus identified for 2025 are Attendance and Achievement. Targets and strategies have been identified to increase performance in both areas. The Board looks forward to a positive result.
The academic achievements of our students who received Excellence endorsements in 2024 were celebrated at the Academic Awards evening held on 11 March 2025. This is a great way to recognise the success of our students.
Students and staff have also been involved in a number of events over the term including the Country High Schools' Music Festival, the Shakespeare Festival and Polyfest 2025. This is the first year our school has performed as a separate group at Polyfest due to increased numbers, which is great to see.
We are look forward to seeing what Term 2 will bring!
