Congratulations to Sam Johnstone who has recently returned from competing at the New Zealand Power Boat Racing Nationals, held at Lake Rotoiti (Nelson Lakes).

Sam was representing his province alongside the biggest field of junior racers from around New Zealand the event has seen. Sam convincingly won all his championship races earning him the 2019 NZ #1 Junior title.

His ability to understand the mechanics of his race boat, adapt to the conditions and race with nerve and strategy were contributing factors to his win.

We are super proud of his work ethic and commitment to his sport which has resulted in achieving this prestigious New Zealand Championship title.

Sam will now prepare to break the New Zealand speed record at Lake Kaniere, on 21st April.
