Cheerleading

Our Cheerleading team entered the CheerSport Secondary Schools' Nationals and took out first place in the Grade 1 competition. This was a fantastic effort for their very first competition and a brand new sport at Rangiora High School

We wish students Kaitlin Feather and Jess Hendren all the best as they head north to Tauranga in early December to take part in the Secondary Schools' National Athletics competition.

On 6th-8th November the year 10A Volleyball team competed and won Division 2 of the Canterbury Champs Volleyball Tournament. The team of ten Yr 10 girls represented our school well. They conducted themselves with pride, manners and great wawata. They started the tournament strong with three wins on the first two days. Their games on Sunday were a bit more challenging, but they landed the final against Avonside Girls. After a stressful two sets it was a draw, but the girls rose to the occasion and really boosted each other up, winning the final set and taking the trophy for Division 2. The girls should be very proud of this achievement!

We had the Senior A and B, and Junior A Volleyball teams entered in the School Sport Canterbury competition and all teams played very well and we are looking forward to new teams being set for Term 1 next year.
