South Island Secondary Schools' Athletics Championships

The 2019 South Island Secondary Schools' Athletics Championships were held in Nelson  recently. 

Jess Hendren 1stU14 Girls' High Jump (clearing 1.64m, a new South Island record) 

Kaitlin Feather 1st U15 Girls' Long Jump  (5.16m); 2nd in the 80m Hurdles 

Jade Kruger 1st U16 Girls' 200m 925.71 seconds); 2nd 100m 

Debbie Begg 1st Senior Girls' Athletes with Disabilities in 100m and Shot Put 

Abby Ladd recorded personal bests in both her events placing 4th in Discus; 8th in the Shot Put

Max Flannigan placed 8th in 800m and 14th in the hotly contested senior boys division

Canterbury Athletics Champs 

Congratulations to the following students who recently competed at the Canterbury Athletics Champs with the following results:

Jess Hendren set a new Canterbury record of 1.66m at Canterbury Athletics Championships in weekend 

Jade Kruger 1st U16 Girls' 200m 

Debbie Begg 1st 100m Girls' over 16 Athletes with Disabilities 

Troy Washington  1st Boys' Under 16 Discus Athletes with Disabilities.
