All school terms are busy places and Term 1 this year has been no different. This term for the first time we hosted an evening to celebrate past and present students who achieved endorsement in Merit or Excellence at Levels 1, 2 and 3.

The first Awards Evening on 22 March celebrated Level 1 endorsements. Our Academic Captains, Isabella Kerr (Year 13) and Jack O’Donnell (Year 13), organised this evening. Family and whānau were invited. The students were presented with certificates and a badge. School Board members were invited along with our special guest our Mayor, Mr Dan Gordon. It was a fantastic event.

The Level 2-3 Academic Evening will be celebrated in Term 2 on Wednesday 10 May. After the ceremony whānau and students were invited to supper.

Planning for the Level 2-3 ceremony is well underway. An invitation has been sent to whānau. We are very much looking forward to presenting these certificates, especially to the Level 3 students who have left us last year.

Our special thanks go to Bridgitt Robinson, Rowena McKinney and Vicki Burrows who have helped create certificates, and organise the supper and invitations.
