It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the June Year 8 Newsletter. The purpose of this is to provide some information about Rangiora High School, alert you to some upcoming dates, and most importantly to help Year 8 students see what Rangiora High School looks like, feels like and sounds like.

The last few months have been interesting ones to say the least and we are conscious that the transition process into Year 9 has become even more critical. As a school we have made an effort to welcome both staff and students back following the Covid lockdown. The videos to support this can be viewed here- this is the welcome back video made by our Head Students, and here is the staff video. 

In this newsletter you will see photos and articles of some events that have been going on at our school, including Junior Winterfest and Anzac Day. You will also be introduced to the Transition team, a wonderful group of people who you will become very familiar with over the next few terms.

As a parent who has seen his own children go through this process, I know it can be both exciting and daunting, often at the same time. Please know that the team is always happy to hear from you with any questions or concerns.
