Level 1 – Natural Processes Shaping the World River Trip
Students from the Geography Level 1 – Natural Processes Shaping the World – have been busy looking at the river processes and designing research methodology to investigate different parts of a river. On the 9th August they took a trip to various stops along the Ashley/Rakahuri River.
Students worked in groups to design and create research aims, methodology and undertook their research with absolute confidence. They were able to apply their research skills and knowledge of river processes, as well as work effectively in groups. We were very impressed by their ‘get on and do it’ attitude and their proficiency in the task. Geographic research continues through level 2 and level 3 so students will be able to build and refine their skills in coming years.
