Our student leaders had an excellent three day camp at the Boyle River Outdoor Ed Centre in late January

Every year our Head Students, House Executive leaders, Sports and Cultural leaders start the year with a three day camp at the Boyle. The students are always rearing to go after the long holiday and always bring a really positive attitude to the camp. No homework or assignments await, it's summer and they haven't seen each other for a while. It's a time to get to know each other, make plans for the year and work out how the operate as team members and leaders.

There are plenty of challenges - from the strategy of the low ropes, to the adrenalin of the high ropes. Even doing the dishes for 50  plus people is a learning experience! For the staff, it is always a highlight to work with these students as they take their place as leaders in the school. The camp concert on the last night is always memorable. This year the Head Students won the coveted trophy, while Hillary House Exec won in the House Challenge - no trophy, just chocolate!

Thanks to Rebecca McLean and her team of teachers, Kaylee Dawson, Rosie Dowling, Lesley Elms (chef extraordinaire), Julia Malcolm, Guy Strawbridge for their energy and enthusiasm, and commitment to growing leadership in the school. We look forward to seeing and supporting these students as they apply, and share, what they have learned.
