Ngata House

RHS —

Kia ora parents, caregivers and Ngata whānau

It is hard to believe that we are in the final two weeks of Term 4 and that Christmas and the beginning of a New Year will be soon upon us. As always, Term 4 has been extremely busy and we have had much to celebrate and be proud of in terms of Ngata House success.

The House Public Speaking Competition is one of the events that I personally really look forward to and this year’s contestants for Ngata were of the highest calibre. Summer Payton, Sophie Kiddey, Amber Bowler and Natalie Sage did us proud and it was fantastic to see them perform.

Coupled with the House Quiz Competition all teams enjoyed these tremendous events and the caliber of our participants was exceptional. Congratulations to all who participated.

It is important that I acknowledge and farewell our wonderful Year 13 Class of 2021, who both Mr Berg and I have enjoyed working with. As discussed in our final Year 13 Assembly, five years has flown by and it does not seem that long ago that they were in Year 9. I have every confidence that this fine group of young people will go from here to live extraordinary lives, and as already discussed with them at their assembly, it is important for each and every one to remember that they are strong, articulate and are capable of achieving all that they hope. We wish them all well and have every faith that they never forget our mantra of ‘Never Give up Aspiring to Achieve,’ for it will serve them well.

Lastly, I would like to extend warm wishes to you, our extended Ngata whānau. I hope that Christmas and New Year is one of peace, prosperity and good health within your household. It is my great pleasure to work with and for you, and I look forward to working with you in 2022 and beyond.
