PTA AGM - Second Hand Uniform Store - Quizz Night

We are a very small committee who are looking for parents/caregivers to join us as new members. Currently we have 3 members on the PTA who no longer have students at the school!

We meet once a term at the high school and our meetings are approximately 1.5 hours.

Our aim is to run 2 fundraisers throughout the year e.g. selling garden bulbs, quiz night and second-hand uniform sales. We have even held an Art Expo. Fundraising is not a major focus for us though. We would like to have more parents involved as parent involvement in the school is the vision the school leadership would like to see. The school likes to see the PTA support at prize giving and any evenings where the parents are involved.

It is not like primary school where you can continually be needed at the school to help with sausage sizzles, discos, car washes etc.

In 2020 we were able to support our staff and students with projects to the value of $17,000. This ranged from sport equipment to musical equipment. We like to show support across a range of areas/departments in the school.

Our AGM will be held on 13th April at 7.00pm.

It would be great if you could bring a friend and come along and join us, even if you just come for a look and listen. We welcome all new ideas and energy.

PTA Second-hand Uniform Store

The Rangiora High School second-hand uniform store is run by a small group of volunteers. We will sell on your behalf, with a 40% commission fee going to the Rangiora High School PTA.

The PTA's second-hand uniform shop is located on the north side of the Gym complex. Visits are by appointment only. Please telephone the school office on 03 3118888 to make an appointment time.

Please ensure that all uniforms are cleaned and in good to excellent repair. We also ask that the winter kilts be dry cleaned before we sell on your behalf. Please give extra washing attention to collars, cuffs and underarms, especially on the white shirts. Please do not be offended if your clothing is declined for sale.

Goods will be held for a maximum of 18 months. We will advise you when your time is near. After 6 months we will try and contact you for your permission to drop the prices on your clothing.

Items of clothing may be dropped off at the school office. You may put your own prices on your garments or we will do that for you. Please include your name, address, and a contact phone number.

We will advertise in the local newspaper when our shop will be opened (usually six times a year). It will also be advertised in the school's daily notices.
