Congratulations to Zach Roberts (Deputy Head Boy, 2020) for his outstanding achievements in the 2020 NZQA Scholarship examinations.

Zach was one of 58 students who were awarded an Outstanding Scholar Award. To achieve this a student must gain a minimum of three Scholarships with two at "Outstanding" level, or at least four Scholarships with one at "Outstanding" level and a top two performance in at least one subject.

Zach gained Scholarship in Biology and Chemistry, and Outstanding Scholarships in Physics and Calculus.

He also gained an Outstanding Scholarship in English as a Yr 12 student in 2019. Zach was our top academic student in 2020 and was awarded the Mainpower Prize for Senior Physics and Mathematics, the JF & DJC Moffat Scholarship for Most Outstanding Boy Studying Science at University, and the William and Ina Cartwright Trophy Dux of the School.  He was 1st in subject for Biology, Chemistry and Physics, and1st equal in Calculus and Classics.

This year Zach is studying Mathematics and Physics at Otago University.

We are extremely proud of Zach's achievements and will follow his future progress with interest.
