105 FOR NON EMERGENCIES

RHS —

Take a look at the message from the Police and a competition they are running in conjunction with Vodafone where you can sing your way to win part of a total prize pool of $13,000.

A message from the NZ Police:

NZ Police recently launched a new non profit emergency number, 105. We've done this to make it easier to get hold of us in the event of non-urgent situations or "Things which have already happened" which don't require Police assistance immediately.

You can call us on 105 for all non emergencies, or you can go online at 105.police.govt.nz to report things like:

  • Theft in a public place
  • Theft from a car
  • Intentional property damage
  • Shoplifting
  • Lost property
  • or to get an update or add to a previous report

Always call 111 in an emergency such as:

  • When a crime is happening now – and the offenders are still there or just left
  • Someone’s in danger or badly injured
  • There’s a serious risk to human life or property
  • You see a major public hazard, like trees blocking a road
Vodafone are proud technology partners of the New Zealand Police, so we’re helping to spread the word about their new 105 number for non-emergencies.

Competition - last few days to enter!
Check out the 105 song, then re-create your own version. Get your colleagues, school, community groups, friends and family involved. You can lip sync, dance or even change up the lyrics.
