Show Quest 2019

RHS —

On Monday the 20th May, a team of 100 cast, crew and teachers went to the Christchurch Town Hall to perform in Showquest.

Showquest is an event run throughout New Zealand where Primary and Secondary schools come together to showcase their talent in 12 minute performances. Showquest is a competition which involves use of dance, drama, and art which all revolves around a chosen theme. This year a team of students and teachers decided on the theme of METAL and how it impacts our everyday lives.

There were countless hours of hard work put into our performance led by Olivia Chunn, Carlee Pearce, Evie Moore, Charlotte Eckardt, JC Wang, Kara Nortman, Jemma Johnson, along with the cast and crew.  All the dedication and commitment from everyone helped us to pull off an incredible, crowd pleasing performance and we placed 3rd overall.

This experience was something we will all never forget. It was so rewarding to see the performance come together from the very first practice to the final time we performed it on stage. Although, through our Showquest journey there were some stressful moments it was all forgotten when we wowed the audience and received so many amazing comments about our performance.

Showquest would not have been possible without all the wonderful staff involved, Ms McDonald, Mr Anderson, Mrs McLean, Mrs Robertson, Ms Brown, Mrs Aldhamland and Mr Quigley. They put a huge amount of effort into our performance and their support towards the students was much needed.
