ANZAC commemoration - not as we know it.
Every year we mark ANZAC Day with a dedicated assembly for all students at school which is attended by RSA members. On ANZAC Day itself, our school service in the morning is held in the Court of Memories under the autumn colours, always in perfect weather. It is a lovely service attended by over approximately 200 people, and this number has continued to grow from year to year.
So this year we were presented with the challenge of how to commemorate those 72 RHS ex pupils who lost their lives in WWI, WWII, Vietnam and Afghanistan.
Our Head Students (Bailey, Oliver, Renee, Sophie D, Sophie S, Zach), our Kaitātaki tane (Max) and Kaitātaki wahine (Alicia) and our Sound and Lighting Captain (Elena), stepped up to the challenge and despite being apart, came together to create a moving and memorable service which was live streamed on ANZAC Day.

The slide show of the 72 ex pupils on the Roll of Honour was made by student Saskia Lane as part of a History project a few years ago, and it is wonderful to have this to bring these names and their stories alive each year.
