Chess Club

This time we managed to come in First, which was made all the sweeter since one of the schools we beat was Kaiapoi High School. The team was ably co-captained by Kweli Mills and Nic van der Mespel. Nic has been invited to compete at the national level, at the tournament in Auckland over the holidays.

The team consisted of Kweli Mills, Nic van der Mespel, John Lundy, Lachlan Palmer, Jasiah Woods, Nikita Price, Flynn Olynsma, Henri Morgan. In addition to the thrill of competition, our team members made some good contacts with players from other schools.
