Gateway Term 3

These students have also been achieving Industry related credits to support their vocational studies and many recently completed their first Aid course and a health and safety course.

The Industry placement gives them the opportunity to have hands on experience in the industry they have chosen. The Employers in our Local community are fantastic and the support from them in providing our students experience within their business is so important for our students and very much appreciated.

We currently have students out working in a huge variety of industries, Farming, Electrical, Hospitality, Healthcare, Mechanical, Building, Retail, Broadcasting, Childcare, Horticulture, Aviation, Transport and Animal Care. 

Of special mention this year are two of our talented and hardworking Yr 13 Students, Amei Courtney and Keira Blair. They gone from having their gateway placement at Compass FM to Radio Stars. They worked so well on their placements they were offered the opportunity to host the Compass FM evening Compass “Live” Show from 6pm - 7pm weeknights [Monday to Thursday].  Amei and Keira are absolute stars - listen in and hear these talented radio presenters.
