What have we been up to?

• We had fun as a team during pick shirt day!! 
•  Our team Hui’s have been a highlight of our Friday’s as well, with students receiving ‘Shout Outs’ Fabulous 100 rewards and class pom pom challenge treats. 
• We also had our technology expert come in to team us about Makey Makey's which is an an invention kit designed to connect everyday objects to computer keys.
• We have got an amazing group of students who are our Physical Activity Leaders (PALs) and are leading Physical Activity in our school.
• Swimming is still happening for the remainder of term. It is important for the students to bring their togs so they can participate in this experience to build their swimming skills.
• Ellie our amazing student teacher is having her last week with us this week. She has been an amazing teacher to everyone and taught us a lot of new skills.

Coming up ....

• Next week in Kōtare we will be having a focus on breakfast and making healthy breakfasts for ourselves. Students will be provided with a variety of breakfast options to experience over the week.
• A reminder for spelling, ALL students have a red notebook that their spelling words are written into on a Monday. We ask the children to take these home so they can practice for their test on Fridays.
• As an end of term celebration Kōtare will be participating in House of Bricks in week 8. This is at school and the students will be making lego creations and completing lego challenges in relation to our current topic studies.
• Jumping June is continuing with our big day on 20th June. It is great to see so many students fundraising for the heart foundation. A big woohoo for Kōtare 4 who are currently winning the overall highest fundraising class throughout the school. Our skipping ropes will be arriving early next week so we can get jumping!
• Reminder that we have Teachers Only Day on Friday 3rd of June it is also Queens Birthday weekend so school is closed on Monday.
