Friday winter sport with Friends!
We celebrated a fantastic day of winter sports with 120 students playing various games, supported by incredible parents. We achieved success and learned new skills together. Congratulations to all involved!
What an incredible afternoon we had on Friday for our winter sports event! We sent off 120 students to play rugby, football, pickle ball, bowls, volleyball, and netball against other schools in North Canterbury. The support from our teachers and parents was truly amazing, as they joined in to help and cheer on our teams. The bus trip was filled with laughter and excitement, making the journey just as fun as the destination.
Our students brought their A-game, showcasing their skills and sportsmanship. From winning games to simply stepping foot on the court for the first time, each moment was a victory in itself. Some even tried their hand at a new game, embracing the challenge with enthusiasm and positivity.
The energy and spirit in the air were infectious, and our parents' and teachers dedication and enthusiasm were absolutely incredible. Their support and encouragement made the day even more memorable. We are so proud of all our students and grateful for the strong sense of community that was palpable throughout the day.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this afternoon such a success, it is an opportunity for our kids to try new things and practice the fundamental skills of their chosen sport over this period. Let's carry this positivity and teamwork forward as we continue to celebrate our sports, over the next 5 weeks.
