On Thursday the 2nd of March we are taking some of our year 5, 6, 7 and 8 swimmers over to the Dudley pools to challenge themselves in a time trial. This is to see if they are eligible to compete in the Rakahuri competitive swimming sports.

We will be leaving school on Thursday at 1.15 to change and be ready to swim by 1.30pm.

The students will need to swim 50 metres which is two lengths of the Dudley pool. 

I have had interest in the following events and the times are as follows:

Year 5 Girls Freestyle 50 seconds

Year 5 Girls Backstroke 50 seconds

Year 5 Girls Breaststroke 70 seconds

Year 6 Girls freestyle 48 seconds

Year 6 Girls backstroke 58 seconds

Year 6 Boys freestyle 48 seconds

Year 7 Girls Freestyle 45 seconds

Year 8 Girls Freestyle 42 seconds

Year 8 Girls Backstroke 52 seconds

Year 8 Girls Breaststroke 52 seconds

Year 8 Girls Butterfly 60 seconds

I will be listing the competitors in the school notices so ensure your child checks. Or if you have a student who is interested in registering for this event and has not already been to see me, please send them to the Kōtare building asap.
