My name is Megan Kelman. I work locally and my two boys attend Rangiora Borough School.  I joined the RBS Board of Trustees in 2024 as Board Secretary. 

Being the Board Secretary is a role I'm incredibly proud to have. It's a privilege to contribute to the mahi that directly impacts our ākonga, kaiako, and whānau. I see my role as a way to ensure things run smoothly - whether it's documenting decisions, organising agendas, or supporting clear and open communication between board members, our school principal and our wider community. I value the trust placed in me and take seriously the responsibility of ensuring transparency, accuracy, and accountability in everything we do.

For me, the Board Secretary role is more than keeping things in order - it's about being part of the work and commitment to create a strong and successful school environment. I'm passionate about supporting the RBS Board's efforts to improve education and create meaningful opportunities for our ākonga. Knowing that the Board Secretary role contributes to the success of our kura and strengthens our whanau and community is something I deeply value. 

It's an honour to be part of this important work for our school community in building brighter futures for our tamariki!
