Whole school celebration event for all whanau - Tuesday 25 June | 11:15am - 2:50pm. Come along and enjoy the day.

Tēnā koutou katoa,

A whole school event to support unity (whakakotahi) for all whānau in our kura community to come along on Tuesday 25th June and enjoy a fun time with your tamariki. Teams will be a mix of junior and senior tamariki across the kura. Sport Canterbury have joined with us to make this a nice blend of tradition and contemporary games that have te reo Māori and culture within the games for the day.

It is our hope to provide a safe, whānau friendly environment to celebrate some of the key aspects of Matariki. 

The theme for this year is Matariki heri kai and a part of Matariki is about sharing kai. Please bring / send along some healthy kai for a shared class lunch. This would be a nice opportunity to share some food from your whānau culture also if you would like.

You are very welcome to join your childs class for the shared lunch.

Activity 1: 11.15-11.45am 

Activity 2: 11.45-12.15

Lunch break 12.15-1pm

Activity 3: 1-1.30pm 

Activity 4: 1.30pm-1:55pm

Activity 5: 1:55pm-2.20pm

Activity 6: 2:20-2:50pm

Join us for some fun games! Mū Tōrere, Ki-o-rahi, Poi horohopu, Mau Rākau, Poi, Whanowhano.
