Strum Strike Blow Festival

Marie Reed —

14 Ukelele players (RBS Strummers) attended the recent Strum Strike Blow Festival at Wolfbrook Arena on Thursday 15th August.

They joined over 1500 students from Christchurch Primary and Intermediate schools to put on an amazing musical performance for their friends and whanau.

The children have been working really hard with Mrs Reed over the past 2 terms to learn the musical pieces at school and came together for a one day practise, followed by an evening performance for their friends and families.

While RBS had a group of ukelele players, other schools also had recorders and marimbas hence the name Strum Strike Blow. This year was the 11th year the festival has been held.

The students from RBS did a great job and represented our school with pride. Well done girls!
