Kākāriki Rugby Session
Kākāriki is participating in the Tākarokaro programme aimed at increasing physical activity in NZ. Saracens Rugby club ran a session for us as part of getting our class active.
Kākāriki has been participating in the Tākarokaro programme which is supported by the NZ Rugby Union. The aim is to get students and our community active.
Tākarokaro includes schools based and club based learning experiences. School based experiences help ākonga learn about the importance of participation and design activities to keep every body active. Club based involve seeing how a local rugby club designs their activities.
Saracens rugby club organised a skills session for the Kākāriki students. There were a range of drills to experience and practise a range of skills such as passing, running with the ball, and tackling.
A big thank you to Richard and the team of Saracens players, coaches and administration who helped with this!
