Communication @ Rangiora Borough
Schools need to be able to communicate efficiently and regularly. This article explains the communication channels we use here at Rangiora Borough.
Communication is of paramount importance - both incoming and outgoing!
However, from the school to the school community, this needs to be efficient and timely. Very often there are over 1000 communications made each time a message is sent out from us. We have invested in our technology to integrate as much as possible, so that we do not have to send individual messages on individual communication platforms.
Our HERO Student Management System, integrates with Hail, our main public face of the school, and through that, our public facing official school Facebook page. HERO is our main form of communication tool.
All school parents/caregivers have access to the HERO app.

Facebook: Rangiora Borough School Parents
- This is a private group moderated by a school Board member and the admin staff. Members have to be approved.
This moderated page is for parents of children at Rangiora Borough School. Its aim is to share new and updated information on school events and activities. Please ensure that anyone you add is a parent of a child who attends our school. This is not a page for ex-pupils. Please note this page is not a for sale page (unless it's school related like clothing) nor is it for promoting products or commercial services (there are many other pages online for that). It is also not a forum for slander or personal attacks. This group is to promote and celebrate positive friendship and knowledge sharing among fellow school parents - we hope you enjoy it!
