IceSkateTour
From 11 - 15 March, our school hall will be transformed into a skating rink for our children to enjoy.
Experiential Learning continues to be a school focus and outlined in the school Strategic Goals. We aim to have at least a couple of special events a term where our children have an experience in which they participate and then can have additional learning opportunities based on these experiences.
Mid last year, we were fortunate to be able to secure our booking for the first term. Those keen eyed people would have seen this in the school calendar on the HERO app and/or our school website and wondered what this would be.
There are at least two class lessons each during the week, and a fun additional skate disco each for Junior (Year 1-4 /Tui & Ruru), and Senior (Year 5-8 / Kōtare & Kākāriki). These are additional and ticketed events bought through the online ticketing we will share over the next two weeks. A percentage of the sale comes back to the school as a fundraiser and will be able to support the subsidy of additional experiential opportunities.
Thanks to those parents/staff who came to set up for the week yesterday.
We will require some adult helpers to help pack up on Friday 15th March: 3pm - 4:30pm. Thanks to thiose who have already offered.
