Congratulations to Warren Day on his retirement
After 11 years as our Caretaker here at Rangiora Borough School, Warren retires at the end of the term.
Many a positive comment has been passed along to staff about the tidy and well maintained appearance of the Rangiora Borough School buildings and grounds. This is certainly no mean feat, but one that Warren's work ethic can very easily be attributed.
We are very fortunate to have had the project management experience and planning skills from Warren, as he has overseen the completion of a number of major building works over the years, liaising with contractors and Ministry of Education property team members to ensure quality outcomes for the school.
Warren has worked well with the different Board members, always providing them with accurate and informative property information, including maintenance schedules, budget control, personal experience relating to projects and a keen dedication to ensure the job is completed to a high standard.
On a personal note, Warren has ensured that I have been fully supported in my move to Rangiora Borough, and has been able to share with me so much about the property works completed and his historical knowledge of the property. Building and property is a large part of any principal's job, and having had Warren share his expertise has certainly made it easier.
We wish Warren and Heather all the best in their shared retirement, and know that the caravan is certainly going to be used a great deal more in the future.
