Student Leaders Coding Club
Year 7/8 Technology leaders start a new Coding Club at lunch time today.
Finn Boyle, James Brandts-Giesen, Toby Walpole (Technology Student Leaders) Cody Corbett (Technology Assistant) ran a Coding Club at lunch time today for year 3-6 students. Finn said he was really happy to have 35 students attending.
Sadly we had to turn a few people away this week as we didn't have enough equipment or space! Sorry to those who missed out but not to worry we will be running this every Thursday lunch time, there will be a maximum of 25 people allowed. The leaders will set up a weekly roster so that no-one misses out.
Today the students got to choose one of the options;
1.Bee bots - simple robot that you can programme to move around by tapping a button.
2. Dashes and Dots - Robots operated from an iPad that you can drive, play music, change eye colour.
3.Turing Tumble - a marble powered device that can sort and makes you problem solve.
4.Makey makey - allows you to turn every day objects into touch pads and keys). Today somebody used an apple...how cool!
The leaders can't wait until next Thursday for some more technology fun. See you then.
