During the holiday break, the old Piwakawaka building was moved to be refurbished at Addington School in Christchurch.

The timetable for the preparation and subsequent move of the building was ahead of schedule.

2am on Tuesday 16 July, the building was moved out of the grounds and on its way to it's new home in Christchurch.

Reinstatement of the now vacant space is continuing, and provides a more open space in the grounds.
