Autumn Art

In Ruru 1, we talked about the changing of the seasons. The big thing about Autumn is that the leaves change colour and fall to the ground. The students then got to create a piece of art. They free hand drew a tree trunk and coloured it with vivid. They then used their fingers to create the different colour leaves on the tree.

Thanks to Di for her work at Rangiora Borough School.

Di has been a Learning Assistant at Rangiora Borough school since 2017. She has been a valued member of our staff.

Learning Assistants / Teacher Aides are so very important for the way a school can provide inclusive learning activities for the very diverse range of learners we have in our schools. Some children also present with health needs with which our teacher aides monitor and support in an active way to ensure that children are afforded the means to be able to attend to learning.

At Rangiora Borough School, we value the work of all our Learning Assistants and know that they add value to not only the learning experiences of the children, but to the teaching of the teachers.

Di has been one of these people who have worked with individual children and small groups to support the teaching programme and cater for individual learning and behaviour needs.

We thank Di for the way she has consistently gone about her work with the children's needs at the forefront, often going over and above the work required.

We wish Di the best as she returns to full time work in the public sector. We know that she will continue to take an active interest in what Rangiora Borough continues to do in the future.
