Year 8 students having a blast at Maukatere Te Matauru today. At this stage of the term they are honing their culinary skills, mastering design and technology, crafting wooden masterpieces, exploring the wonders of electronics, and igniting their creativity through innovative projects.

It was a pleasure to wander through classes, chat with students who were eager to share their projects and processes... although most of the food had been devoured.

We are super proud of how our Year 8's conduct themselves in such a positive manner that reflects our school values.

In Ruru 1, we talked about the changing of the seasons. The big thing about Autumn is that the leaves change colour and fall to the ground. The students then got to create a piece of art. They free hand drew a tree trunk and coloured it with vivid. They then used their fingers to create the different colour leaves on the tree.
