"Phones away for the day"
The "Phones away for the day" policy is in place.
We have always had a robust policy that largely has been adhered to. Children hand their cellphones in at the beginning of the day to the class teacher or the office, and it is retrieved at the end of the day. We hope that our policy remains robust enough and compliance is maintained and supported by both children and their whānau to continue without any changes.
Cellphones will be turned off at the gate.
For clarity (from our school policy)... A personal digital device is any privately owned digital device that is not part of any school-approved Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) programme.
If a child refuses to hand in their cellphone or device, parents will be required to come to school and pick it up from their child.
We thank you for your support.
Our School Policy is attached for reference.
