Introducing Board member Catherine George

Kia Ora,

I’m Catherine George (often known as Kate). I have 4 children who have all been through Rangiora Borough and my twins are in their last year here. 

I have been on the Board since 2019.  I joined to learn more about how schools work but more importantly to contribute to our community and our children’s education here at Rangiora Borough School. 

My time on the board has been at times challenging, but has provided me with a great sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. The first year was a big learning curve but you are provided with a lot of professional development to ensure you are confident in your role of governance.  Our Board sees professional development for the Board members as being important and we plan for this annually.

Being a Board member is a role I am proud to have been a part of.
