Help Us Get a Pedestrian Crossing

Karyn Gray —

Please see this important message from Charlotte Hurley who has been working hard on our behalf with Hutt City Council

Just one quick email from you is all it will take to help strengthen our voice for a pedestrian crossing outside school.

As part of a NZTA Waka Kotahi initiated change expected to come in later this year nationwide, the maximum speed vehicles can travel outside our school will reduce from 50km/h to 30kmh. And cars travelling more slowly makes the potential for securing a pedestrian crossing in Matuhi Street near the school entrance much more viable.

This is something we have requested from the Hutt City Council for years, but have been turned down for speed and visibility challenges.

How can you help?

Please watch out for the upcoming email from Karyn with further information about the issue and full details about how to email the Council by 5pm this Wednesday 15 February with your feedback on it.
