Being a Steiner boy myself from kindy age, I sometimes have to laugh at how long I have spent teaching and learning in and outside of a Steiner Classroom. With breaks working as a bike mechanic, working in the gold mines in Australia and travelling the world, the road has always brought me back to teaching, with great memories of stints at Taikura and Tauranga Waldorf schools. Here at Raphael House, I wear a few hats. With my leadership hat, I work in the Wider Leadership Team and as part of the Wellbeing Team. As a teacher I am kaiarataki of Class 8 and I cover woodwork, physical education and camps in the high school. My weekly highlight though has always been coaching or managing House hockey.
