End of Day

Please take students home. There will be no teacher supervision of students in between the end of school and the start of the festival.

Lower School

5pm: Students to arrive at school. Students to walk straight up to their classrooms.

5.15: Tanya will ring the bell and students gather in their classrooms. Parents go straight to the court area outside Classes 6 and 7, not in the classrooms.

Class teachers (1-6) light lanterns in the classrooms.

Class 7 set up unlit lanterns on driveway.

Upper School

5:15: Class 12 gather in Class 10 to light their lanterns with Megan, Merlin and Brett.

Class 8 to meet in their classroom and light their lanterns.

Four Upper School students and Vanya to meet in the Music Room.

Classes 9, 10 and 11 will be instructed on where to meet by their teachers.

5.30pm

Whole school

5.30pm Classes gather on the court.

Gathering structure:

· Bell ringers spread around the community. Vanya is in charge of this.

· Class 12 walk down the driveway and into the centre of the circle.

· The community sing Full Flaming Fire.

· Opening by Karyn

· Song: Where is the Sun

· Song: Ma Te Aroha by Classes 8 – 12.

· Song: All the Earth is Sacred

· Spiral – led by Class 5 and 1, then 2 and 4, then 3. Everyone sings I go with my Little Lantern.

· As Class 5 comes to the driveway, the rest of Class 12 students will lead the way down the driveway to view the class 6, 7 and 8 lanterns.

Lower School parents will follow the spiral walkers down the driveway, followed by Class 8 and 12 parents.

Classes 9, 10 and 11 to follow down the driveway with parents.

At the bottom of the driveway, Class 12 will form a path for the community to leave through.

Class 6,7 and 8 will remain on driveway until the last of the community comes through. Class 8 to follow the last members of the community, then Class 7 and finally Class 6.

Meeting Points

Parents to collect their children here. Class teachers to hold until handover to parents.

· Class 1-2: By the old office on the driveway in ‘The Elbow’.

· Classes 3-4: Lined up both sides of the driveway by the Heide Werth Room.

· Classes 5-7: Outside the Kindergarten gate.
