Spotlight on Staff - Mario Gude

Clare Goodman —

Kia ora te whanau

I work in the sawdust department (woodwork) and double up as the Pastoral Dean at Raphael House. I grew up in Hastings where I attended Taikura Rudolf Steiner School. From there I trained as a Bothmer Gymnast in Germany and then New Zealand.

My teaching career started back at Taikura in Physical Education before heading to the Tauranga Waldorf School where I became a class teacher and Associate Principal. Having always valued the creative arts in Steiner education I jumped at the opportunity to move to Wellington in 2015 to fill the vacant woodwork teacher position.

I love bikes and hockey – go House!

I live in Waiwhetu with Nina my wife and our three crumbsnatchers, Lena, Anouk and Noah.
