Upper School Building Project

Katie Musk —

An update from the Proprietors Trust

Kia ora koutou Raphael House Community

On behalf of the Proprietors Trust, we are extremely pleased to report that the building of the new Upper School block has withstood the disruption of the past few months and is now gaining momentum towards being operational in mid-2022.

Building on such unstable land was always going to be nerve-wracking, despite the multitude of geotechnical reports commissioned, the day the first piles hit rock was a good day. The day we were fully out of the ground was an even better day. The two storey building is now rapidly taking shape and will be ready for the upper school rangatahi by August 2022. Modular classrooms, service and support space, toilets and even a lift to aid with accessibility have all been incorporated into this exciting building.

I have been working on this project for almost six years, and I look forward to welcoming you all to an open day once the building is completed, restrictions permitting.

This exciting project can only go ahead through the continued support of the Raphael House community through the commitment to paying Attendance Dues.

Thank you all for your continued support.
