Term One Thanks

Karyn Gray —

As we come to the end of Term One, I would just like to say a huge thank you to the parent community of Raphael House for once again entrusting your tamariki to us.

It has certainly been eventful starting with a fantastic mihi whakatau, closely followed by six class camps and then a full Term One programme.

It was fantastic to be able to hold both the  Michaelmas and Easter Festivals after so many cancellations last year. A full Term One curriculum programme has run with field trips supporting these. Some fabulous sports events have occurred and it's been great to get some special character classes such as Eurythmy and Gardening happening again. It's also fantastic to have a thriving Te Reo programme occurring through Classes 1-9 and Kapahaka happening in both the Lower and Upper School weekly.

Thanks to all our wonderful staff who again have gone above and beyond on many occasions. A special thank you to Zalina who finishes up as a Learning Assistant in the Kindergarten today after two years, and to Rachel who finishes up as Learning Assistant in the Upper School today. Thank you to both of these people for their incredible support they have given to the young people and teachers they have been supporting.

We look forward to seeing you all at our Partnership Hui early in Term Two - please see the article about this. Enjoy a fantastic break from school routines with your children and we will see you all again on May 3.
