Mau te Rongo - a Place of Peace
Mau te Rongo is the new sensory space that we have created in the Lower School. This space is a place of calm, a space for our ākonga-students to go to, to regulate their emotions.
Mau te Rongo is located in the office spaces in the Eurythmy Room block and is already being well utilised by ākonga.
The space would not have been made possible without the wonderful support and drive from our SENCO-Emily Blyth, and the Learning Support team. A special ngā mihi nui to Caroline Schlebusch-Bruemmer for your time, artistry and aroha in creating the veiling painting adorning one of the walls in Mau te Rongo. Ngā mihi nui hoki, thanks also go to the PTFA for funding the sensory equipment for Mau te Rongo.
