Kia ora koutou, ko Vanya tōku ingoa.

I am the music teacher in the Upper School and am also part of the well-being team. I grew up in Santa Fe, New Mexico and moved to New Zealand as a teenager. Aotearoa definitely feels like home now, even if my accent tells a different story.

Over the last number of years I have found myself diving into the world of raranga (weaving with harakeke) and recently completed a 5 year program through Te Wānanga o Aotearoa. When I’m not at school I love spending time weaving, walking and tramping and going on adventures with my whānau.
