Biodynamic Preparation Stirring
Spring Stirring, Preparation 500: Sunday 13th September starting at 2pm: outside court area by Class 7 / Office at Raphael House
Preparation 500 is a living substance which helps build soil structure, stimulates microbial activity and the formation of humus, greatly improving the absorption and retention of water in the soil.
Used as part of a regular practice, it regulates acidity, stimulates the growth of root systems to greater depths, increases the germination rate of seeds and helps to dissolve hard pans.
Stirring or dynamizing the preparation for a full hour is a beautiful group activity which is then followed by a walk around your garden with a bundle of sticks or brush dipped into the liquid preparation and atomized into the air with a flick of the wrist.
We will begin stirring at 2pm and finish at 3pm, after which we will spread the formular around our school gardens, I look forward to seeing you there – bring a container to take some Prep home with you for your own garden.
