Congratulations to Class Four Ākonga!
For their magnificent performance of The Theft of Thor's Hammer Mjollnir.
The play is the story of how Thor's hammer was stolen by the frost-giant Thrym. To get his hammer back Thor must pretend to be Freya and marry the frost-giant. Our students loved watching Thor get dressed in a wedding dress and pretend to be Freya, only to reveal his true identity and smite the frost-giants for daring to steal his hammer.
Their teacher, Louise Galpin, did an outstanding job of directing her first ever play, and did a marvelous job of matching students to parts, ensuring that all of the tamariki were able to reach their full potential.
I am already looking forward to her class play next year!
