The King of Ireland's Son

Irene Cheung —

Class 2 have been busy rehearsing their play, ‘The King of Ireland’s Son’, this term and performed to their whānau and schoolmates this week.

It tells the story of the wild King’s Son who is tricked by an enchanter and must find his house within a year and a day or lose his life. He is helped in this task by Fedelma, a daughter of the Enchanter. With a host of birds, animals and court members the story is filled with magic and adventure.

The tamariki have done a fabulous job of speaking the words and using gestures and expression to help tell the story. It was wonderful to share all their hard work this week.
