Class 11 EOTC Days

Irja Haefliger —

For their EOTC days, Class 11 spent three days in each other's "turangawaewae" - Kapiti, Lower Hutt and Upper Hutt.

The students took leadership in planning and budgeting for the days, working collaboratively in groups.

The common thread for their outdoors experiences was walking and water activities.

Day 1 was spent in Kapiti, walking a part of te araroa along Parapraumu Beach and the Waikanae River on a sunny summer’s day. On Day 2 we completed the Butterfly Creek walk in Eastbourne, followed by kayaking at Day’s Bay. Day 3 was a relaxing day swimming in the Akatarawa river with freezing water but glorious sunshine and excellent company.
