Matariki
A message on behalf of the Festival Group
Kia ora Raphael House Community
You may have noticed that due to the lunar calendar the 2023 Matariki public holiday falls in the July holidays.
This Matariki period the classes will be looking to weave lantern themes with their Matariki star and its domain.
In order to recognize the main principles of Matariki there will be an opportunity to honor those who have passed in the last year. We will feast together and celebrate the chance to gather as a community on Thursday 20th July,. We will have a wishing tree to hang our hopes and desires on and invite whānau to add your wishes to the tree. (Details to come.)
