Everything you need to know!

Thank you to those families who submitted an expression of interest for a Lower Hutt bus service.    A total of 39 responses were received, 18 students indicated they would use the service in the afternoons each school day, with only 7 students interested in the morning service on a daily basis. A further 43 students would like to use the bus on various afternoons, with 12 students on various mornings.

Based on this result, we can confirm that there will be an afternoon service running in Term 2.  This is a one-way service only, departing school at 3.10pm and arriving at Petone Station at 3.42pm.  Unfortunately the morning service is not currently viable.

Tickets

Tickets will be available to purchase from KINDO from early next week.  Driver will clip tickets on entry to the bus and all passengers must present a valid ticket.   Tickets purchased over the school holidays will be available to collect from the Office on the first day of Term.  Single Trip tickets will be available from the Office for casual passengers.

A reminder that this is a pilot service for Term 2 and we will be reviewing the bus, including both morning and afternoon options for Term 3 onwards.
