Gift from the Class 12 Parents

Katie Musk —

As part of a long standing school tradition, each year the Class 12 parents put together a gift for the school.

Most years, the Class 12 parents consult with students and staff in order to decide what the gift should be. This year’s parents decided to keep the gift a secret. Then, they snuck onto the school grounds on a Sunday morning to install it, leaving us with a wonderful surprise on Monday morning!
The asymmetric window in the Class 12 classroom is a unique and beautiful element of the room. Unfortunately, there are certain times in the day with the sunlight casts a glare on the blackboard and projector screen. Thanks to the Class 12 parents of 2021, this window can once again be fully utilised and appreciated. It has been dressed with a stunning handsewn blind, which can be operated easily. The simplicity of its design is in itself a work of art! A heartfelt thank you goes out to the Class 12 parents for this lovely, thoughtful gift, and all the hard work that went into it.
