A celebration of Michaelmas

Kathleen Russell —

On Wednesday the Upper School students celebrated our first festival for the year

The celebration of Michaelmas teaches the importance of overcoming fear and strengthening resolve. It makes one more confident and determined to face different challenges every day. We all must face our own difficulties in life, both internal and external, and Michaelmas can educate and empower all of us to find the courage to take on and defeat our own personal dragon with positivity and courage. On Wednesday the Upper school rangitahi participated in a range of activities held by the Class 12 students. The activities where Bench ball, obstacle course, Capture the flag, blindfold newspaper game, and drama games. It was great to see all the students pick up the wero (challenge).
