EOTC Week - Class 8

Clare Goodman —

A few weeks ago Class 8 went on wild adventures.

With Gabrielle, Katie, Emily, and our wonderful parent supporter, Emily Coxhead, and myself (Will).

Starting at school, we worked on building bivouacs, lighting (controlled) fires, and team building survival games.

Class 8 Kaiarataki thoroughly enjoyed this Wednesday, it was a great start to EOTC week

What the students were in for the next day, really had them jump out of their comfort zone. The Belmont Trig track started at school, and went all day, in the heat.  Though most were excited to get on this walk by lunch time we were all exhausted. However, the pay off at the top of Belmont trig was *chefs kiss*

What a wonderful view we got, a clear day, we could see Kapiti Island and even the South Island.

Our final day was chill, a small bush walk, some ice blocks (thanks Gabrielle), and some campfire cooking! What a wonderful three days we all had!

Thanks to everyone who supported us on this trip! Ka pai everyone ðŸ˜€
