Introducing Gita

Karyn Gray —

NZCSE Admin, Enrolments

My association with Raphael House started 10 years ago as a parent when we finally decided that Aotearoa NZ was where we wanted to bring up our child, after living in a few cities across the globe. The experience of being a Lower School parent was amazing and I got ever so involved in the festivals, parent crafts, school fair and class activities. It helped me find friends and a sense of community as we settled into this beautiful country.

I started working at the school 5 years ago helping with administering the Steiner Certificate and added on timetabling, reporting and enrolments administration along the way. Getting to be a part of the staff community at Raphael House has been a very enjoyable experience.

My interests lie in nature, conservation, organic gardening and all kinds of hand crafting - embroidery, felting, crochet, pottery, sewing and so on. The koru is one of my favourite symbols and I feel it reflects my interests and trajectory of my life in several ways.
